That's Life: Enhancing Engagement in Music, Visual Art, and Theatre Program
This project aims to reach people with intellectual disabilities that have met challenges in engaging with the creative arts. That’s Life have developed targeted strands to attract and support people with a variety of interests and skill sets.
- The Art of Music, a Gamelan project nurtures individuals with intellectual disabilities with weekly sessions involving co-composing, rehearsing original pieces, and learning traditional Japanese gamelan music, culminating in a public performance.
- The Art of Theatre, a beginners group workshop will run concurrently with the beginners music workshop, introducing and developing skills in visual theatre with masks.
- Visual Arts, one-on-one hand moulding tutorials, diorama workshops, culminate in a presentation of works, along with a stop motion animation course with a professional artist, participants will be offered the opportunity to engage with work that will go on public display.
