To celebrate Waterford’s ‘Great Parchment Book of Waterford’ going online – making it available worldwide to all – Waterford Treasures Museums in the Viking Triangle will run a Calligraphy Festival to celebrate The Art of Writing.

We will post calligraphy tutorials for beginners and advanced (based on the Parchment Book and other Waterford material) on the Museum’s YouTube channel. We also hope to have an in person calligraphy workshop in the Medieval Museum where the Parchment Book is displayed.

We will also place ‘Turning the Page’ technology beside the Parchment Book so that the visiting public can see all the pages rather than the one page where the book is open.
