The Forest Midwife is a beautiful, cinematic piece about a growth of the human through the birth of the forest. It is a half an hour documentary in making, funded by Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, promoting forestry in Ireland. It's to be finished by October 2024. Creative Roscommon Open Call funding will be used to pay for the director/producer’s residency in Roscommon. During the residency, they will meet with people, find a place for the premiere screening of the film and start creating a network of diverse stakeholders in the area who have an interest in environmental issues, particularly in the subjects of forestry and biodiversity.
