The Magic of the Sea is an artistic event presented by children from Fanore National School. It incorporates an engaging mix of of narration, music, song, poetry, and composition.

Our story follows a seal known as Silkie, who loved her life in the ocean. One day Silkie came ashore on Fanore beach and shed her seal skin. This skin was picked up by a local fisherman and we follow their adventure.

The event will be filmed locally in an ancient ringfort, on the sand dunes, at Fanore beach, and the surrounding area. We invite everyone to watch our video on Cruinniú na nÓg and see what happens to Silkie!

This prerecorded video will be available all day on June 12th on the Clare Library YouTube channel and also shared on Creative Ireland Clare Facebook page.
