Threads of Tradition will enhance the family-focused programme at Tubbercurry Old Fair Day, creating opportunities for children, families and visitors to come together through creativity, learning and cultural experiences. 

Creative Ireland funding will support a range of interactive activities, including jewellery making, pottery workshops, traditional Irish craft demonstrations and opportunities to explore traditional musical instruments. A dedicated Little Folks Fair will provide a welcoming space for younger children and families to participate in fun, hands-on creative experiences. 

By encouraging families to learn new skills, explore cultural traditions and share experiences together, the project strengthens community connection, promotes creative participation and creates an inclusive and engaging festival experience for all ages.
