Traditions Project is a series of workshops that is community centered and focused on enabling creativity in the migrant community. The Project is based on work with a traditional Polish & Irish legend combined into one story that has diverse Limerick community at the heart of it. They work with the community on a non-verbal performance where language is not a barrier any more.
They plan to run 7 full day workshops with 10 community members. Post pandemic reality has left a lot of people disconnected. Especially when looking at the migrant community they can say that pandemic has not been equal to all. They have moved now from the pandemic reality into the uncertain times of war in Europe where more fear is building at our doorstep. The project has community wellbeing and belonging at the heart of it. That sharing there stories promotes understanding and creates a sense of belonging. This makes diverse society flourish and adds to its richness.
