Tradoodle Festival

Ceol Connected in association with Monaghan County Council and local partners are delighted to once again present a county-wide traditional arts festival for young audiences that will take place between 10-13 November 2022. The artistic programme will present high quality performances/workshops for school/family audiences that are innovative, that draw on best practice & importantly, that connect with, respect & are of relevance to the experience of children & young people.

Tradoodle Festival’s programme is tailored to meet the specific needs & interests of young audiences across the county to ensure maximum public/audience engagement. Tradoodle Family day at Íontas will see supergroup Goitse headline a fun-filled day that includes workshops in traditional music, song, sean nós dancing, puppetry and visual arts. Other events include a sensory performance co-commissioned by Tradoodle Festival and Baboró International Arts Festival for Children, a co-commission project with Music Generation Cavan/Monaghan, a library tour for early years audiences, schools performances & workshps, and the SongTales van that will visit schools across the county.

Partnership with Creative Monaghan, Monaghan Arts Office, Monaghan Library Service, Local Arts in Education Partnership, County Childcare Committee, National Childhood Network, Music Generation Cavan/Monaghan, Íontas Arts Centre and Garage Theatre.
