Tradoodle Festival 2021
Building upon the success of previous Tradoodle Festivals, Ceol Connected will once again partner with Monaghan County Council & a range of local partners in 2021 to present a county-wide traditional arts festival for young audiences. The artistic programme will present high quality performances and collaborations that are innovative, that draw on best practice, and importantly, that connect with, respect, and are of relevance to the experience of children & young people.
Tradoodle Festival is about community engagement and it is about providing opportunities for children and young people to access the traditional arts in innovative, interesting and meaningful ways. An ambitious programme is being developed for 2021 which will enhance traditional arts in the county through a diverse and high quality programme for school/family audiences incorporating music, song, dance, puppetry, storytelling, and inclusive workshops for children with ASD. Depending on Covid-19 restrictions and Public Health Guidelines, it is hoped that the festival events will take place in preschools, primary schools, community/arts venues and in collaboration with other festivals (eg Scoil Cheoil na Botha).
