Tulla GAA Community Mural Project

The Tulla GAA Mural Project aims to bring together members of the Tulla community to create a series of murals at Sports Pavilion at Dr. Daly Park in Tulla.

The murals will cover four themes reflecting the traditions of hurling and camogie, music, history and folklore in Tulla. Members of the local community and in particular the younger members of the community will work together to create and design the murals. Leaving Cert and Transition Year students of St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Tulla will assist in developing the project.

St Joseph’s Secondary School are delighted to be involved in this project with Tulla GAA Club and Creative Ireland. This project will be part of the community engagement activities that these classes engage with throughout the year.  The first phase of the project will be completed with students from the 2021/2022 academic year and phase two of the project will be completed with students from the 2022/2023 academic year. This allow a greater number of students the opportunity to participate in the project.

At present, Dr. Daly Park is undergoing a major development with the construction of a Viewing Stand and Sports Pavilion that will serve the community of Tulla. This state of the art facility will officially open in May 2022 where the murals can be enjoyed by all members of the community.
