'Tullynally Castle has an archive that is amongst the most voluminous and significant of estate collections which survive in relation to Ireland', Dr Ciaran Reilly Maynooth University.  Estate Rentals are an invaluable source for genealogy and local studies.  The rentals span the period 1873-1909, containing over 14,000 entries offering a crucial insight into the life and times of the people who inhabited these estates.  Eneclann, an archive management company will be commissioned to undertake the scanning of the rental books.  This is the first phase of the project.
