The 'Turf Shed' Band is a group of seven traditional musicians who formed a group in 2020 during the Covid lockdown to discuss/arrange and play traditional music. Collectively, the group members have years of experience of playing traditional Irish music with experience as Ceilí band members, teaching, performing, composing, taking part in, and adjudicating live music. 

This project will focus on highlighting the legacy of music in their local area of Clare and in particular the placenames and townlands of the place and will include new compositions composed by local musicians and inspired by the local landscape and area.

They aim to produce a new album of old and traditional music compositions from Miltown Malbay/Kilmurry Ibrickane and distribute it around the county in hardcopy and digitally and to bring the collection to life in a series of live concerts and smaller indoor/outdoor performances.
The members of the group are Caroline Lodge, Trish O'Dea, Caroline Tubridy O'Dea, Jim Corry, Sorcha Curtin, Tara Comber, and Joe Searson.
