Urban Street Music

This project will aim to engage young people in the mid Louth area in an exploration of music. We will work closely with members of the local area and community agencies such as schools and school completion programmes to identify young people who would be at risk or involved in anti-social behaviour.

This project will give these young people a safe space to explore their own development and environment while also provide them with alternative options.

The programme will use a variety of forms of music such as hip hop, guitar, piano and song writing to encourage young people to be a part of something that is positive in their life.

The long-term aim would be to encourage these young people to continue on their musical journey through their personal development and into adulthood. 

This project will look to explore common themes in society today such as “belonging”, “mental health”, “community” and “toxic masculinity”.
