The Vex Robotics programme is currently being rolled out within schools, youth groups and direct provision centres in Co. Monaghan. During the workshops, participants work collaboratively to build a Vex Robotics robot. All of the activities during the workshop require leadership and organisational skills, with elements of teamwork and problem solving to the fore. As part of the process, participants develop new designs for robots using motors, cables and relays. The Vex challenge helps develop technical  skills and helps people to get active in computer programming.
