Waterford Walls Culture Connect is a programme of 4 engaging events which will take place in Waterford during Waterford Walls Festival (Aug 9th to 18th 2024):

• Artist Talk - Delivered by legendary NYC artist DAZE & to be held in Waterford Gallery of Art, this talk showcases an in-depth look at the history of street art & its rise from painting trains in 1970’s New York to the professional mainstream artform we see today. 1 hour plus Q+A.
• Masterclass - A 2-hour practical masterclass for locally based artists & arts practitioners who would like to adopt spray paint as part of their existing practice, learn new skills, develop their understanding of the artform, or engage in a fun & new cultural experience & networking opportunity.
• Film Screening - Screening of seminal street art documentary - 'StyleWars' to be held in Waterford Gallery of Art.
• Talking To The Walls Part II - Building on the success of funded 2023 event, TTTW2 sees a panel of 4 WW festival artists, discuss their lives, careers & Waterford experience. The talk will also cover our collaboration with SETU, a cutting-edge archival project entitled mementoArtem.
