In June 2020, Westmeath based artist, Fia Rua (Actor, Musician and Writer Eoghan Burke) created a collection of online storytelling videos for children which was launched as part of Cruinniú na nÓg Westmeath.

We now hope to aid further development of the project online and in specific settings in Co. Westmeath. The enormously positive feedback indicated a demand for storytelling in the young children (3-10) sector. The aspiration of the project going forward is to bring the Stories of Myth and Legend of Ireland to as many children as possible in County Westmeath.

Primary schools, community settings and creches would be three specific settings we would focus on. There is also the potential to conduct storytelling workshops where children get to write and perform their own stories.
