Working with the Landscape and Otherscapes
The Ballinglen Arts Foundation will host a series of contemplative workshops exploring connections between art practice, history and ecology.
The workshops will be led by Ballinglen Artist Fellows. And participants will have the opportunity to work with various printmaking processes including gel plates, relief, screen printing to develop pieces that reflect the sea and our places, with Jeffrey Hirst. To look at gathering information and processing form, energy and light to make a painted work with Nuala Clarke. And transform natural materials into books with Alice Austen.
Ballinglen Arts Foundation is based in Ballycastle, North Mayo. Surrounded by places such as the Ceide Fields and Downpatrick Head this setting provides an ideal environment for a deep exploration of the themes through art, allowing participants to connect with both their artistic practice and the surrounding nature.
