The Writer in Residence's aim is to facilitate Kerry's prolific creative writers and to encourage them across all genres (poetry, play writing, film scriptwriting, novels, prose etc) There is also on emphasis on engagement and interaction with the general public. The writer in Residence stimulates a greater awareness of the art of creative writing as well as encouraging more creative opportunities for people to engage with the work of writers, up-coming writers, young people and those interested in developing their writing skills .
