Waterford Libraries in partnership with the Irish Writers Centre and Dún Gharbhain le Gaeilge will provide adults in Waterford with a series of high-quality free writing courses running throughout 2024. These workshops will be either online or in person in a Waterford City and County library branch. Topics covered will include Beginners Fiction, the novel, poetry and non-fiction writing. At least one of the courses will be conducted in Irish. The courses will be offered free of charge to adults who are resident in the Waterford City and County administrative area and who have a current Waterford Library membership.

Details of the courses will be made available on Waterford Library Service website and social media once dates are confirmed.

Applications for the courses must be submitted to library@waterfordcouncil.ie stating which course is being applied for, providing evidence of address and library membership number, and explaining how the course will be of benefit to the applicant. Spaces for eligible applicants will be offered on a first come first served basis, with a waiting list in operation.
