Westmeath Traveller Project works to promote a positive image of Travellers in Westmeath. An annual Traveller Pride event is organised every year where up to 200 Travellers attend along with representatives from different agencies. This event promotes the positive aspects of the Traveller Community. We also organise a fun day for Traveller Children and colouring and poetry competitions. We want to bring a group of young Travellers together to take part in an Art Project that lets them express their Culture.  If Lock down restrictions ease, the event will be run in a big room that will allow adequate social distancing or organise an outdoor Art activity.
