Creative Ireland shortlisted as one Europe’s most innovative citizenship programmes

Creative Ireland has been shortlisted as one Europe’s most innovative citizenship programmes

The programme was selected from hundreds of entries for the prestigious European Innovation in Politics Awards in Berlin.

Minister for Culture, Heritage and Gaeltacht Josepha Madigan, T.D. and the Creative Ireland Programme were picked as one of 80 finalists from a jury of over 1,000 citizens across Europe for the awards which honour innovation across arts, science and education

Tania Banotti, Director of Creative Ireland

Through the Creative Ireland Programme, Ireland is now among the first countries in the world to prioritise creativity as vital to our personal and collective wellbeing and success.

The shortlisting reflects our work with Creative Communities around Ireland and enabling the creative potential of our citizens, young and old, to effect real and transformative change in our towns and communities.
