Healthcare Hoolies is a Creative Ireland initiative by Cork County Council that brings live music performances to residents in care homes and community hospitals across County Cork, aimed at promoting positive aging and wellbeing. Now in its fifth year, the program features various musicians performing uplifting music to enhance the quality of life for older adults through cultural experiences.  This  summer concert series that delivers live music performances to older adults in healthcare facilities.

Musicians play a variety of genres, including popular music from the 1950s onwards, movie, and musical tunes.  The program involves community consultation to shape the music programming based on resident preferences. 
Healthcare Hoolies orovides access to high-quality cultural experiences for residents who may not otherwise have the opportunity.
 The proven benefits of music to enhance wellbeing and quality of life for older adults, especially those with conditions like dementia.
