Rainbow Library is a vibrant creative writing and illustration initiative that celebrates and amplifies the voices of LGBTQIA+ young people aged 14 to 23. Through regular workshops, mentorship, and publication opportunities, the project provides a safe, inclusive space for participants to explore identity, storytelling, and self-expression.

Rainbow Library has become an important element of the of Cork County’s creative engagement with young people. Participants work alongside professional writers and illustrators to develop original stories and artwork that reflect the diversity of modern Ireland. The group have published anthologies showcase the creativity, imagination, and courage of Cork’s young LGBTQIA+ community and participated in West Cork Literary Festival, Dublin Literature Festival and Cork Zine Fest.
