Drogheda, Through Our Eyes
“Drogheda Through Our Eyes” is a four‑week creative media project led by award‑winning filmmaker Declan Cassidy of EurAV, a Drogheda‑based non‑profit community media organisation. The project brings together ten participants from diverse non‑Irish national and minority backgrounds to explore and share their individual perspectives on the town through short video pieces.
Working from EurAV’s Fair Street studio, participants will receive hands‑on guidance in filming, interviewing, and visual storytelling. While developing practical media skills, the focus remains on creative exploration, collaboration, and building confidence in a supportive environment. Participants learn both from Declan’s mentorship and from one another as they shape and refine their ideas.
Each person will produce a short video highlighting a place, person, group, or aspect of Drogheda that holds personal significance. The finished works will be shared individually and collectively across digital platforms, including social media and EurAV’s online channels.
At its core, “Drogheda Through Our Eyes” promotes inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and stronger community connection by ensuring a wider range of voices contribute to a shared portrait of the town.
