Support extended for opportunities in Creative Technology & Creative Problem-Solving for children & young people in 2023

With the new Creative Youth Plan’s increased focus on equity, diversity and inclusion, The Big Idea programme will be further expanded in specific settings.

The Big Idea engages with transition year students to address issues through creative problem solving and design thinking.

With guidance from a variety of industry mentors, young people have an opportunity to develop a solution to real-world issues affecting them such as climate change, diversity and inclusion, displaced people, hidden poverty, and mental health.

During 2023, The Big Idea will expand further into Youthreach centres and develop the programme for the Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA).

The Big Idea will also explore opportunities to develop a cross border experience with a focus on establishing and building connections and educational networks in Northern Ireland.

To read more about The Big Idea, you can read their Impact Report 2021-2022 here.
