Creating Change in Climate Awareness at Beaumont Quarry

Uncover the wonders of Beaumont Quarry! Led by Cork Nature Network, this community-driven initiative will put a spotlight on this remarkable natural sanctuary, merging biodiversity with rich history.

The programme invites participation in workshops and activities aimed at fostering a deeper connection with nature while addressing climate change. Participants will engage in constructing hoverfly habitats, mapping the climate benefits of green spaces, and delving into the quarry's storied past through storytelling sessions. From crafting bug boxes to experimenting with bark rubbings and natural dyes, there's something for everyone to explore. Together, participants will embark on efforts to combat invasive species while constructing leaf structures for a more sustainable future.

Join in and contribute to the ongoing narrative of Beaumont Quarry, shaping its legacy for generations to come!

Programme will run June to November. Workshop details will be available on the Cork Nature Network website in advance.
