Creating Galway’s Rainbow Future will be an intergenerational LGBT+ Art Project in collaboration with AMACH! LGBT+ Galway, shOUT! LGBT+ Youth Project (Youth Work Ireland Galway) and community artists. 

The project will consist of a variety of intergenerational LGBT+ art workshops with the goal of strengthening social cohesion, increasing wellbeing, and empowering the LGBT+ community in Galway through participation and self-expression. The project will take place in the newly established Teach Solais LGBT+ Resource Centre by the river in Woodquay. 

Some of the benefits that have been found to come from intergenerational programmes are: 
•    an increase in contact and understanding between generations,
•    creation of meaningful relationships, 
•    fostered emotional and social growth, 
•    work towards community goals, 
•    strengthened social cohesion.
