Creative Aftercare Communities 2026

Creative Aftercare Communities 2026

The Limerick Culture & Creativity team, along with The Limerick Children and Young Person's Service Committee and The VHI Health & Wellbeing Fund 2026 are delighted to provide 2026 support to the ‘Creative Aftercare Communities 2026’ initiative. The pilot phase of this project was funded by Creative Ireland through the Creative Youth Nurture Fund 2023–2025. The success of the pilot has led to the continuation of the initiative through Creative Aftercare Communities 2026.

Based at Learning Hub Limerick in the heart of the city’s north side, the project aims to provide young people with care experience the opportunity to explore their creativity within a supportive and inclusive environment. The programme seeks not only to nurture artistic skills, but also to support the emotional and social wellbeing of participants, helping them build connections, develop confidence, and foster a sense of belonging and purpose.

Coordinated by local community worker and creative professional Cein Daly, the programme ensures that each participant receives personalised support to explore their creative interests. Participants work alongside skilled facilitators and accomplished artistic practitioners from across the community, who guide and support them throughout their creative journey.
