Creative Hub - Artist Mentoring by glór

glór has organised a new round of this initiative to support local artists during this ongoing challenging time. It will support artists to access mentoring from another artist they nominate, to help them plan, create and develop their craft through one-to-one sessions between the mentor and the mentee. The aim is to provide a supportive and constructive exchange between artists that can focus on particular skills, techniques or challenges currently faced and may assist artists in navigating these unchartered territories. glór intends to support up to six pairings in this second call out.

Practicing artists based in Clare from both the performing arts and visual arts are welcome to apply, in a simple, brief application. Up to 4 sessions will be supported, where the mentor and the mentee are both paid for their time, over the course of up to 3 months – 3 to 4 sessions are recommended. We suggest each session would last up to 2 hours, and the artist mentee would set some initial goals and topics for the sessions. Mentors do not need to be based in Clare, provided mentoring sessions are feasible online or by phone if not in person. Following the sessions, the mentees will be asked to consider the value of the mentoring and provide feedback on their experience through a short survey and recording.

Applications by 13 August 2021. Full details can be found here.
