Croí – A New Musical Play

Croí is a new musical play by Offaly artists Cormac & Lorraine Reilly celebrating the culture and traditions of the peatlands. Cormac & Lorraine collaborated with Edenderry Historical Society in 2023 to explore the history, traditions and culture of east Offaly and are consulting with them again as part of this new production.

A love story, family drama and mythology set against the beauty of the bog landscape, Croí begins with an unusual wake on Croghan Hill and an ancient pagan ritual.

Directed by Colin Hughes, the play features original songs including ‘Mo Chroí Ochón’ - semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, Nashville.

Don’t miss the opportunity to witness the first production of Croí – a new musical play for the Midlands which will feature at Esker Arts Theatre, Tullamore on 27th & 28th June 2024.
