Digital Storytelling with Michael Fortune: Advanced course for Art Practitioners, Heritage Experts and Community Facilitators in County Kildare
Calling Art Practitioners, Heritage Experts and Community Facilitators in County Kildare.
Following the hugely successful ‘Digital Upskilling Workshops’ with Michael Fortune from folklore.ie, we are delighted to announce a new Autumn/Winter programme for Creative Practitioners in Co. Kildare. The new programme has been devised and produced as part of Kildare’s Creative Ireland Digital Programme and is an ideal way for participants to build on skills developed during the recent introductory course, over a longer programme. The programme will be delivered online, via Zoom.
The programme commences 22nd October and runs on Thursday evenings (7-8.30pm) until 21st January 2021.
During the 12-week course, participants will revisit the skills learned on the introductory course and apply these to personal projects and produce a series of new digital works. These will include 4 projects.
* Produce a short documentary based on an object or objects in your life using your phone to record and edit
* Make a digital map and film, using online and local resources, using screen recording techniques, filming and editing.
* Devise and produce a series of stop-motion animations and time-lapse films using your phone. Edit final films with titles and sounds.
* Record and edit a themed tutorial and interview on your phone. This can be about your own work, local history, folklore etc.
