Discover the secrets of the Slieve Blooms and our place- Kinnitty’s heart
The Slieve Blooms and Kinnitty village have long been recognised as an area of outstanding natural beauty, richly steeped in heritage and biodiversity. Kinnitty Development group along with our local National Schools will hold biodiversity and wild flower workshops with macro photographer,Tina Claffey to explore our local flora & fauna. With Paul Moore, photographer, we hope to explore The Bernard Family Mausoleum, better known as Kinnitty Pyramid through photography. Esther Lambe, visual artist will facilitate creative art workshops with the local community focusing on the Sliver River and surrounding landscape. All indoor workshops will take place in The Trailhead Centre, Kinnitty Village, with some outdoor field trips also planned. The series of community workshops will inform and culminate in an exhibition of art panels showcasing Kinnitty’s heart which would go on display in Kinnitty Trailhead Centre. Details of outdoor field trips and art exhibition to be confirmed.
