Donal Mor O'Brien Sculpture - St. Mary's Cathedral Limerick

The Sculpture of Donal Mor O'Brien was commissioned by St. Mary's Cathedral Limerick to revive one of the trees that had to be removed from the boundary walls of the Cathedral due to the damage they were doing to the walls.

Limerick native Will Fogarty, Fear Na Coillte Chainsaw Sculptures, set to work on bringing to life the 12th Century King whom was the last King of Munster, his Palace thought to be on the grounds of the great St. Mary’s Cathedral. St. Mary's was one of the churches he founded in Munster on becoming King. He now stands majestically, looking over the City that he once ruled.
