Mohill Active Age are working with singer/songwriter and musician Fionnuala Maxwell to develop an informal singing project.

The group will begin with a series of weekly workshops where they engage with familiar songs and learn some new ones. Fionnuala will accompany the group on keyboard while they join in and sing with the familiar numbers. 

The Group are looking to build in confidence to host an invite other groups to join in this experience of communal singing in a relaxed and  informal way while working alongside professional musicians and singers.

Fionnuala Maxwell is a traditional singer, song-writer, researcher and educator who has been involved in numerous projects and music events. She has much experience of working with groups and is flexible when it comes to genres and eras, music-wise. Her varied roles as teacher, singer, one-man-band, wedding singer and stage artist, will offer incredible scope in terms of expertise, variety of genre and flexibility.
