Enchanted Ecology - Redmond Park Land Art Project
Enchanted Ecology explores the connections between biodiversity and community in Wexford Town’s Redmond Park. Highlighting the power of co-creating, Wexford-based artist Mayumi Nakabayashi will lead a series of monthly land-art workshops across 2025. Using the natural materials found in the park such as pinecones, beech nuts, berries, mud and more, participants will learn about sustainable ways to forage and create with nature. In addition to this structured set of workshops, Mayumi will create in the park as often as possible, inviting anyone who is there to join her. Through these collective creative acts, the project will bring the diverse users of the park together, forming new kinships and strong community connections.
This project is one of Wexford County Council’s Culture Team projects for 2025. A collaboration between Wexford Town Municipal District and the Environment Team, it encourages cross-departmental working through community focused projects.
