The Ennis Book Club Festival promotes literature and reading, and support artists who engage in producing it. It harnesses the energy and sociability of book clubs to stimulate cultural activity and increased community interaction and wellbeing. 

In 2022 the Ennis Book Club Festival will bring reading for pleasure to  younger audiences by establishing a book club project for primary school children - EBCF's Primary Book Club.

Primary schools have been invited to apply to join the Primary School Book Club, project due to start in the Autumn of 2022. Four schools will be chosen to participate in three sessions with a facilitator to read a chosen book. Students will read the book over three months and then get to meet the author of the book at the Ennis Book Club Festival in 2023.
