Féile Brian Ború Creation Stations
As part of the Féile Brian Ború event programme, we will hold a number of Creation Stations in different locations through the twin towns.
These stations will be suitable for all ages - children, teens, adults and families.
Some will require booking a slot and others will be drop-in sessions.
All activities will link to our local history, culture and environment.
Activities will include fun crafts such as potato prints, Origami (based on nature and local buildings), finger knitting, needle felting, preparing window boxes, rock art, decorating Viking shields, decorating a square of fabric which will later form part of a flag, which will become the official Fèile Brian Ború flag.
The costs associated with this proposal include artists/facilitators.
Rather than presenting creativity as something to be observed, the Creation Stations invite participants to become creators themselves, using accessible materials and techniques that appeal to children, teenagers, adults, and families alike.
The activities draw directly from the local environment, history, and cultural identity of the twin towns. This ensures that creativity is rooted in place, allowing participants to explore and reinterpret their surroundings through artistic processes.
Please note that the details of events listed above are provided by the relevant Local Authorities.
