This project will explore and present the living cultural heritage of County Laois through the presentation of folk music performances. This project focuses on Laois’s traditions of emigration, landscape, and sense of place, and the role of song and storytelling in sustaining cultural identity across generations.

Through a series of performances on the East Coast of the United States in June 2026. The project will share Irish folk music and song alongside visual materials drawn from the landscapes, landmarks, and cultural traditions of Laois, creating meaningful emotional and cultural connections between the county and its diaspora.
