Following on from the 2017 publication of 'Flights of Fancy; Follies, Families and Demesnes in Offaly' written by Rachel McKenna architect with Offaly County Council, the Offaly Creative Ireland team are keen to support the conservation of follies in the county.

This project is identified as a 5 year legacy project which will have a considerable long term effect in the county.

Gloster Arch conservation was supported in 2018, Ballycumber Folly in 2019, Acres' Folly in 2020 and this year the focus is on Kinnitty Suspension Bridge in Kinnitty Demesne. This is an ambitious project which should be widely appreciated when conserved. The repair of the bridge will provide a unique visual attraction in the area, and as part of the designed landscape in Kinnitty Demesne, may be appreciated once again, by the passing public.
