Through participatory, arts-based workshops, young people will explore climate justice and reimagine Galway in 2050. Using drawing, storytelling and visual expression, they will create future visions grounded in four themes: biodiversity, circular economy, transport, and community and wellbeing. These responses will inform the co-creation of a large-scale, interactive installation.

Guided by SAUTI-Youth, this is a youth-led project using imagination and artistic expression as a catalyst for climate awareness, dialogue and action.

The project will engage approximately 100 young people (aged 13–17) from across Galway City, alongside a wider cohort contributing through a digital survey. A professional artist will collaborate with participants, supporting the translation of youth ideas into a public artwork. A young person from the SAUTI-Youth project will present the collective vision to Galway City Council.
