GASP is an Arts for Schools Programme led by glór, Ennis, that offers students in schools across Clare an opportunity to experience a diverse range performance and visual arts events at their local arts centre. The programme provides subsidised or free tickets for students to attend, removing barriers to arts access for schools by substantially reducing the cost of attendance.
In Autumn 2023, a selection of primary and post primary schools in Co. Clare will have the opportunity to attend three shows across the season especially designed for younger audiences.
These include: Petrushka – a multimedia performance of the fantastic and famous symphonic classic, Winter Wonderland – a Christmas show including lots of favourites from Tchaikovsky to the Snowman, and other seasonal songs and Polar Bear & Penguin, a charming play for young audiences written and performed by John Currivan & Paul Curley.
This is an incredible opportunity for a number of schools from across County Clare to enjoy a more engaged partnership with glór, enabling children and teenagers to see performances at a minimal cost. Continued support of Creative Ireland has enabled glór to deliver this subsidised schools programme enabling schools to engage with the live arts each academic year.
Schools apply to be part of the GASP programme by emailing info@glór.ie.
