It Takes a Village: A Flow of Words Podcast

It Takes a Village is a mentorship programme that offers writers the opportunity to partake in two online writing workshops with creative writing tutors Anne McDonald and Frances Browner. There will be an opportunity for participants to showcase the work created during these workshops at a special live radio broadcast of A Flow Of Words on Scariff Bay Community Radio during the Mountshannon Arts Festival.

A Flow of Words is a monthly radio show compiled and presented by writer Roisín Bugler and presented on Scariff Bay Community Radio with Mountshannon Arts. The programme offers new and established writers and poets from Clare and further afield an opportunity to broadcast their work on this community radio and podcast.

Both Zoom workshops will take place on Thursday evenings in April, dates and time to be confirmed. Workshop facilitators will offer email feedback on the participant's work and offer advice on spoken word and delivery. Participants will work on pieces of poetry or prose, or both, with the view to performing the piece at a festival broadcast of A Flow of Words.

Places are free but limited. To book your place email aflowofwords@scariffbayradio.com

The live show of It Takes A Village will broadcast on Scariff Bay Community Radio as part of the Mountshannon Arts Festival on Sunday 5 June.
