Leitrim Sculpture Centre : Community Workshop IV explores two distinct technical areas that have recently caught the interest and excitement of two local community groups. 

‘Discovering the Art of Ceramics’ with members of the North Leitrim Womens’ Centre working with Bairbre Kennedy a freelance professional potter and a master at pot throwing as well as coil and slab building.

‘What Gives Me Joy’, a film and video project with Manorhamilton 24/7 Carers Group working with Róisín Loughrey a professional film and video producer based in Manorhamilton.

The LSC Community workshop programme sets out to develop and nurture creativity in the community through exposure to skills, expertise, technical resources and collaborative action. It does this by opening up the cultural infrastructure of the centre to local communities and by developing their interests and capacities through developing new work for public display. All workshops are taking place using a combined online and socially distant approach in line with Covid 19 restrictions.
