Artist Mike Byrne working with schools and organisations across Tipperary
to create stop motion animations using Tipperary as the main theme to 
highlight the county, the people and Tipperary’s rich history through 
creativity.
Animation is a great platform for story telling we expect to see a great 
range of ideas from sport to culture, to historical events and locations. 
There is so much scope with this project, and we can’t wait to see how 
the people involved will approach it.
Mike will spend a maximum of 4 days with each group, during this Time
the participants will create a storyboard, build characters, miniature sets
using materials like plasticine clay, wires, paper card and cardboard. Of 
course, there will also be many other materials available on the day. Each 
animation will be complete with sound effects and possibly voice-overs.
The purpose of this project is to promote Tipperary putting creativity at 
the forefront and using animation as a platform for storytelling. All 
animations can be viewed on Mikes YouTube channel directly after each 
workshop with a view to a live showcasing event some time in 2027
