Lost Vision Collective

Following on from a highly successful exhibition at Hedge School in Hotel Doolin January 2024 The Lost Vision Collective spearheaded by long term Clare native Simon O’Reilly will run an exhibition at The Courthouse gallery in Ennistymon from March 7th - 9th. The Exhibition will consist of a recycled wall of tube TVs built of 30 in total. The content screened on this wall we be from Co Clare film makers. We will put an open call out to film makers across the county to show their work. The work will be transmitted on three feeds of different aspect ratios giving a powerful and unique experience. Some film makers may create a piece for it while others may showcase works already in existence. Along with these Clare based film makers we will show previously featured works submitted at Hedge School. There will be a Zine giving detailed information on the films, the film makers and showtimes.

The Exhibition times will be:

Thursday 7th 12:00 – 17:00 p.m. Evening 20:00 - 22:00

Friday 8th 12:00 – 17:00 p.m.

Creative Climate Action - Obsolete technology Part of the impact of the exhibition is the fact that the CRT wall of 30 TVs are now all obsolete, they have been collected from community groups, TV stores, and friends. The retail value of them was probably over €20,000. They are now redundant; a maze of wiring and convertors has been made to use them with modern computers. The physical presence of the TVs makes the viewer question our disposable attitude to tech.
