The Writer-in-Residence programme involves writer and illustrator, Oisín McGann, working with schools and public groups over a 6 month period on a part-time basis. The residency is managed by Meath County Library.

The residency will run until October and is a key element of the 5 year Creative Ireland Culture and Creativity strategy for the county. It is an excellent opportunity for children to work with a writer to develop their creative writing and illustration skills.  As a result of a competitive application process, five schools have been selected to work with the author. The schools are St. Benin’s G.N.S Duleek, St. Mary’s Special School Johnstown, St. Finian’s N.S Clonard, St. Louis N.S. Rathkenny and St. Fiach’s N.S. Ballinacree.
