In early June, dancer Edwina Guckian, singer Fionnuala Maxwell and musician Brian Mostyn went to 32 houses in Drumsna, Leitrim village and Carrick on Shannnon visiting elderly cocooners, re-enacting a mumming tradition providing a unique and important opportunity to break the social isolation experienced by many older people in Leitrim.

The houses were identified in collaboration with Meals on Wheels services and was in part action/research on the broader theme of mumming as cultural heritage and its relevance today.

This amazing project has been continued until the end of year reaching different locations over a series of five days.
