O’Doherty’s Keep Digital Legacy Virtual Exhibition
This project aims is to produce an educational and promotional interactive Virtual Tour using the latest aerial and terrestrial photogrammetry video equipment. The objective output is to produce a 360 Degree interactive virtual reality production with bi-lingual voiceover as the descriptive guide on the journey around the outside and inside the building. It is intended to explore all of the historic aspects of the Keep which are represented by its natural built and cultural heritage. This production will allow the Keep to be explored in detail externally and internally with interactive information points highlighting not seen before features that everyone young and older can learn about its construction and appreciate and gain an understanding about its complex history. The voiceover will also provide information and an understanding of how the Keep was occupied by those who lived there over the centuries.
This project offers a unique opportunity for future engagement while forming an integral part of the overall planned restoration project. It will provide a platform for discussion and future educational learning possibilities and has the potential to encourage creativity in areas of the arts locally and in the schools. The creative arts sector will be able to avail of a completely new visual experience of the building not heretofore available to encourage future artists.
