Open Call 2022 -PULLED - Footprint - Print Trail & Exhibition

The project will consist of 2 x 3hr community group workshops with 6 participants followed by 18 x 1:1 . Sessions with each individual over the course of 8 weeks. The outcome of the project will be a print trail exhibition with accompanying zine. The exhibition will consist of 6 finished pieces displayed in locations throughout the town in September (Blend,The Bookmart, Hearts Desire, Milligram, All Things Natural and Liber).

Pulled Studio, where the workshops and printmaking will take place will also exhibit process work and an opening for the exhibition. Participants for the project have been identified ahead of this application. They represent a broad spectrum of the local community and are people with an interest in art but not professional artists. The inclusion of people with a Disability is of particular importance to us and participants have been invited to take part who we have met during our work with The Irish Wheelchair Association where we currently run a weekly workshop in art and design.

The primary goal of this project is to highlight creativity and promote participation in arts activities in groups that are under-represented in Sligo. The secondary goal is to create an engaging and interesting exhibition that can be enjoyed in  everyday locations. We believe it meets criteria of the scheme by supporting our work as creatives in the town. Community and collaboration are at the heart of our work as artists and we have built a strong reputation.

Please note that the details of events listed above are provided by the relevant Local Authorities.
