The primary aim of 'Pass it On' is to keep traditional skills and activities alive through sharing. 

Galway City Museum will actively engage with the public by inviting older members of society - many of whom are familiar with skills and practices which are alien to the younger generation - to send in recipes, patterns, sewing tips, gardening ideas. 

The Galway City Museum website will create a space where people can respond with their results, problems, queries (my scones don't rise) . We will structure the page in such a way that those who make the suggestions can provide a 'here's one I made earlier....images'. Those who follow their "Pass it on" suggestions and recipes can also submit their finished products.
