ReCycle Bike Bags is a community project in Galway where participants design and make waterproof cycling bags from recycled materials.

• Led by an artist in collaboration with the Galway Cycling Campaign
• Delivered through three hands-on workshops
• Participants learn sewing, design, and material experimentation using waste items like plastic, textiles, and bike tubes

The project promotes sustainability, reuse, and low-carbon transport, while building skills, creativity, and community connections. It will also be shared more widely during Bike Week 2027.
